Clean well kept park. Friendly staff and management. Great place to stay on your way north or south.
We are new to rv'ing so this was our first KOA ever. We really enjoyed the grounds and the fish in the pond were gigantic! The staff were nice and very helpful. Our only issue was the pad was shorter than we were expecting and the showers, though very clean, did not hold the temperature and there was zero ventilation. The water went from scalding to ice cold throughout my shower. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we really wished we had fishing poles with us.
The showers were excellent! Very nice park. Quiet and hosts were very friendly. Nice little fishing pond as well.
This spot is great and we’ve always enjoyed our stay for a few days or a day to travel the next one. So we’ve stayed many times in our travels back and forth throughout the Midwest. They’ve always been very professional, helpful when we needed a spot to stay when our other reservation was canceled unbeknownst to us, they refunded our money when I got sick and needed to leave a day early and I will always make it a point to stay here on our journey because of their kindness.
I will recommend ear plugs because the trains are loud at night but that’s no fault of the KOA and Wellington is a great small town to check out. The Walmart nearby is helpful for supplies and is within walking distance! I really
